Privacy Notice

This notice describes the data behavior of Atlas Scout distributed by Zaguán Labs. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].

The product

Atlas Scout indexes and navigates source code locally. It does not transmit repository paths, file names, symbols, queries, tool calls, editor state, Git remotes, index metrics, or source code to the Atlas Scout licensing service.

A Free installation that has never been activated makes no licensing network request. An installation activated previously may make asynchronous license-refresh attempts after returning to Free. Licensing requests may contain the verified account email address, a random installation identifier that is not derived from hardware, a user-selected device label, product version, and rotating license credentials.

Atlas Scout sends navigation results to the coding agent or editor you connect. If that service is cloud-hosted, its provider processes those requests and results under your agreement with that provider. That is traffic from the connected agent, not repository telemetry sent by Atlas Scout.

Accounts and email

An Atlas Scout account uses an email address and passwordless, single-use sign-in links. Resend is used to deliver those messages. A session cookie keeps a signed-in browser session. Newsletter or marketing email is opt-in.

Website analytics

The Atlas Scout website uses a self-hosted Matomo installation to record ordinary visit data such as pages viewed, referrer, browser type, approximate location, and first-party analytics cookies. The analytics data is used to understand website operation and is not sold.

Retention and requests

Account and licensing records are kept while needed to provide the service, secure it, resolve support matters, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Website analytics are retained according to the website operator’s configured retention period. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of applicable personal data by writing to [email protected]. Applicable law may provide additional rights and a right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
