End User License Agreement

This agreement governs the Atlas Scout software distributed by Zaguán Labs (“Atlas Scout”). By installing or using Atlas Scout, you accept this agreement. Questions may be sent to [email protected].

Free license

Atlas Scout Free is a real license, not a trial. You may install and use the Free functionality on any number of projects and machines, for personal or commercial work, for as long as this agreement remains in effect, without an account.

The initial public release is pre-release software. Features, behavior, compatibility, and the contents of future releases may change. The macOS and Windows preview binaries do not carry Apple or Microsoft publisher signatures. Published checksums, OpenPGP signatures, and Sigstore provenance establish artifact integrity; they do not provide platform-native publisher trust.

Restrictions

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or make Atlas Scout available to third parties; share activation credentials; tamper with or work around a license mechanism; remove proprietary notices; or use Atlas Scout to break the law. These restrictions do not limit rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Your code and local index

Your source code remains yours. Atlas Scout reads it locally to create a local generated index. The Atlas Scout product does not transmit repository paths, file names, symbols, queries, or source code to its licensing service. You may delete the generated index at any time.

Navigation results are delivered to the coding agent or editor you connect. If that agent is cloud-hosted, its provider may receive the requests and results under your separate agreement with that provider.

Warranty and liability

Atlas Scout is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Pre-release software may contain defects. Keep independent backups of irreplaceable material and verify changes produced by any connected coding agent.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zaguán Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from Atlas Scout. Nothing in this agreement excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Termination and changes

Your license ends if you materially violate this agreement. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain effective. If these terms change materially, the revised effective date will be published with the new terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms; you may instead stop using and remove Atlas Scout.
